Austrian Postbus opts, once again, for Temsa 10-09-2004
It all began about 2 years ago when 5 vehicles were test driven, over a 6-month period, on several different bus routes of Austrias state-owned post-bus company: Postbus AG. Thanks to the very positive results, 62 Safari Intercity’s were ordered back then; these were delivered to Postbus AG in 2003.
Postbus has just placed a follow-up order with Temsa for a further 45 buses. The models involved this time round are the basic Safari as well as the Safari Intercity. Postbus has gone for three different lengths, namely 10.66, 12 and 12.80 metres and the order includes both manual and automatic gearboxes. A bus trailer can be coupled to the shortest version.
Temsa is part of the industry-leading Sabanci group. This group is active on 5 continents, comprises over 71 group companies and has about 31,560 staff on its payroll.
